After Abortion...

Surgical:

• Nothing is wrong if you do not bleed or have any pain.


• This is why Alpha Group is well known and highly referred by his previous patients and other doctors in Atlanta, Georgia.


• Do not have sex for three weeks.You are most fertile after this procedure.


• Do not wear tampons or take tub baths.


• No lifting over 25 pounds.


• You can still have a positive pregnancy test for up to 4 weeks.


• Your period could start right after the surgery or take up to 4-6 weeks.


• Once you start back on your birth control, make sure you use another form of protection because it can take a month to get into your system with full effect.

Medical:

• Post operative bleeding and clots: no one can predict how much you will bleed or when your normal period will happen.


• Your particular hormone levels, your personal clotting factors, number of weeks you are pregnant, your stress level which affects your overall health and the medications you take on a regular basis. All of this can effect when and how much you bleed.


• If you are still bleeding more than you should be, we have medications you can take to control the bleeding or you may have to have a D & C again. This is rare.
